- Origin of the foundation occurred in Italy, Betsy ran up the volcano Mt. Vesuvius to raise awareness about dementia. Now the non-profit organization empowers empathy and compassion for the person who has dementia, by training caregivers and other healthcare professionals.
- Inspiration comes from the painful 5-year, emotional journey after Betsy’s mother received a letter in the mail about her diagnosis, her mother suffered from the disease. She passed away in 2013.
