Mark and Eric look at a few parables about the cost of following a Master towards the best possible life. They talk about how Galilean teachers like Jesus embodied Torah and asked their learners to be carbon copies of themselves-- to live out Torah exactly like they did. It was rigorous and immersive. And so Jesus seemed to turn away students and kept only his learners who sincerely and unflinchingly left everything else. The ones who counted the cost could follow the Master. We hope you love it!
