Ronald L. Murphy, Jr. has professionally published short stories, poetry, had a play produced. He has written one novella, entitled "Roland, Dragon Slayer." He has written an allegorical horror novel centering on werewolves in suburbia entitled "The Pack." A collection of previously published short horror tales has been published under the name "The Tormented: Ten Tales of Terror." His collection of poetry, spanning two decades, called "Gypsy Heart," was released this past October. "The Unexplained Chestnut Ridge" is a factual research treatise on his involvement with the paranormal. Another research book entitled "On Mermaids" will be released soon as will his research book "On Werewolves: Tracking the Dogman through History." He also has a book due out before summer tentatively titled "On the Trail of Historical Haunts throughout Westmoreland County." Murphy is a monthly guest on the podcast Spaced Out Radio. He has also appeared on WILK, SasquatchWatch Radio, the Black Cat Lounge, and Coast to Coast AM. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in literature, Mr. Murphy studied medieval history at the graduate level at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. His interests include acting, play-writing, and photography. He lives in rural Western Pennsylvania.
