This week American Idol brought us excitement, fond farewells, and some of the best performances we've seen yet! On night one we celebrate the glory of the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame as contestants pick songs from only artists who have joined this esteemed and exclusive club - like the one and only, LIONEL RICHIE! Contestants are joined by former idol, Adam Lambert, for inspiration and fashion flair. Night two brings us an epic, battle royale - between not only the contestants but the judges too. With America voting from coast to coast in real time - there were many a sweaty palm around the country - including those of your host!

On this episode we welcome VERY, special guest, the hot take QUEEN herself, April Cowdery! Missing Laura? Me too! But fear not - she is still an avid #Idol fan and hopes to return to the pod-world soon.
