Synopsis: Music in black / American culture has a huge spotlight that Tulsa artists are still pursuing a piece of. The only issue I see with this is that if you take the top 3 songs rather it’s local or mainstream hip-hop / RnB, at least 1 of the 3 is promoting toxic material relating to drugs, sex, violence, money, and even God. Music, Culture, and Religion are three major parts of what make people - people. What does this fundamental lack of responsibility in our music, culture, and religion mean for Tulsa music and for (black) culture in America?
