In the chilling season finale of Haunts, we return to the question that’s haunted us all season long: what happens when hauntings are brought together? From Annabelle’s destructive tour to Mr. Ted’s arrival at Bolsover Castle, we’ve seen how cursed objects ripple outward in terrifying ways. Now, we travel deep into the canals of Xochimilco, Mexico, to uncover the story of the infamous Island of the Dolls.
Was Don Julián Santana Barrera himself from restless spirits, or was he haunted by his own obsession? Are the dolls simply grotesque relics, or vessels for something much older — perhaps even something Aztec and ancient lurking in the waters? Along the way, we’ll hear eerie visitor accounts, explore the folklore of mermaids in the canals, and confront the possibility that the dolls themselves have become part of a monstrous tapestry of layered hauntings.
As we close out season two, one truth remains: when we bring spirits and stories together, we don’t just multiply them. We create something new. Something alive. Something monstrous.
