Hey sup! So the Supreme Court dropped a whole lotta cases last week, including two cases around the intersection of religion and employment law.
We discuss those cases in depth. And we have...opinions.
The first is Our Lady of Guadalupe School v. Morrissey-Berru, which effective expands the "Ministerial Exception" and says that religious organizations can discriminate against any employee with a religious or "ministerial" role.
The second is Little Sisters of the Poor Saints Peter and Paul Home v. Pennsylvania, which says employers can opt out of providing birth control and contraception under health benefit plans based on religious or moral grounds.
