Goals.
We all need them. Can't live without them. If you don't have them, then you should get some.
However, too often we let our goals become idols and let them replace our relationship with God. In the same way that spouses often stop pursuing each other once they're married, we often stop pursuing God once we have another clear goal in mind. Sadly, we forget that without Him, that dream has no hope of becoming all that it is meant to. What's more, we grow impatient because we haven't seen that vision come to pass when we think it should, instead of learning to be content in the waiting, and enjoy the maturing process that He has us on.
The longer we hope for something, the more satisfied we are when we finally see it come to pass. So take your time, enjoy the in-between and let hope grow.
