Michael McDowell holds off Chase Elliott to secure his playoff spot via a win at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course

HMS has to go 2 for 2 in order to lock all four drivers into the playoffs. Failing to do so means it'll be the first time Chase Elliott or Alex Bowman have missed since joining HMS.

Was the Indy road course project successful or will it forever have a legacy of a wreck fest and are we truly going to see the oval back?
