Summary
In 1 Chronicles 28-29, the final chapters of David's life, he was forbidden by God from building the Temple but given the task of making preparations for it. David gathered the necessary materials and craftsmen, handing over the plans to his son Solomon. He emphasized the importance of following God's commandments to possess the promised land and passed on words of wisdom to Solomon. David praised God and Solomon was anointed as king, receiving great honor and majesty. Despite his failures, David's legacy as a man after God's own heart endures.
