In 2020, over a 5-month period, 65 women entered The Yale Fertility Center, which is part of Yale New Haven Hospital for fertility care. Their experience can only be classified as horrific. These women were perplexed by their unexplained excruciating pain during the procedure, and even the doctors and clinic staff were unable to provide answers. In the absence of concrete information about the true cause of the pain, patients, families, and even the staff seemed to restore to creating their own narratives to make sense of it.
