G-Funk Classics Vol. 1 was recorded when Nate Dogg was still a part of the famed Death Row Records roster, Vol. 2 was recorded after Nate left the record label. Some songs were used for movie soundtracks and other people projects. After a two years of push backs because of the problems going on at the label between 1996 and 1998.
