They're here; the Trials of Athan have officially begun! Headmaster Isolda and Iskar Academy kick off the series of events with a sudden challenge, following a toast, poisoning the contestants in the room who are participating. As the challenge is revealed, Charr and Tanzy are pit against a pair of rivals, old and new, in Tad and Ryu.

All across the Eastern Continent, HEROES are born every day.
While most people exhibit mundane characteristics, a small segment of the population show the talent for learning skills and abilities that seem impossible. While these hero-touched children sometimes manifest gifts young, it’s only through THE EXAM, a mandatory exam for all youth across the Continent to test their ability to manifest these talents. Upon receiving their results, students are instructed to choose one of a half-dozen highly revered Academies devoted to their further education.
