Our homeschool day is kind of like a living organism. I have to tend it, I have to be gentle and careful with it, I have to change and adapt and move with it. I can’t create a one-size-fits-all routine or schedule because it never fits for very long. I don’t have all the answers on this you guys, I’m constantly trying to find the elusive balance and structure that will provide me with this fuzzy idea of “homeschool perfection” that I have in my head. In today’s episode, I share with you the chaos, what it looks like day to day and why I am still tweaking and adjusting. I refuse to accept something as a marker for what we are going to do if it isn’t sustainable–because it will just end badly. That is where I am at right now! I found what I want to do in a day and it is awesome, but it isn’t sustainable so there is no point in continuing in this plan, something’s got to give. Maybe that can be my homeschool motto!
My episodes just keep on getting longer and longer somehow, add that to my list of things I’m going to work on. So bear with me as I share my heart for creating balance in the home and I would LOVE for you to chime in! If you have two secs, find my podcast on iTunes and give it a quick rating or review, or comment below and let me know what homeschooling looks like in your home!
