In the first matchup, overall tournament 1-seed, OMD’s “If You Leave” (from Pretty in Pink) faces its first real challenge of the tournament from one of the most 80s songs of the decade, 4-seed “Send Me an Angel,” Real Life’s hypnotic Rad anthem.

In the second matchup, Berlin’s Top Gun powerhouse 3-seed, “Take My Breath Away” matches up its romantic smokiness against the pure liquid cheese of Peter Cetera’s Karate Kid Part II schlocky ballad, region Cinderella, “The Glory of Love.”
