Obligations, everybody has them why would musicians be any different. Most musicians have some sorts of obligations: alimony, lawyers and other bullsh*t. But the Fellas explore a different kind of obligation, album obligations. Spite, anger and a misguided sense of right and wrong drive these albums. Some of these albums like the Strokes Comedown Machine are the ultimate example of phoning it in and doing it for the money. Really the four guys who are the sons of famous models and New York Socialites half assed it, ‘no Joe say it ain’t so.’ While others like Band Of Gypsys by Jimi Hendrix only hint at the greatness that might have been, but wasn't.
