China Tolliver is a former doula turned podcaster. She was inspired to start the Birth Control Podcast after witnessing several incidents in the birthing room where women were not listened to by their doctors or even experiences obstetric violence. With Birth Control Podcast she is creating space for marginalized women to tell their stories. China is taking her podcast on the road and illuminating the experiences of black, brown and indigenous women who are most impacted by failures in the medical system.
