There are a number of important concepts to consider when choosing behavior management tools with youth. Kierra explains the importance of youth development through the framework of Erikson's theory of development, focusing on the first five stages from birth through adolescence. She briefly describes why each stage is importance to understanding an individual's foundations and how they move about and perceive the world and themselves.
