When you choose to follow Christ, you become a Christian. As Christians we are no longer under the law of sin and death. We are made free through the blood of Jesus. Therefore, we choose to sin. We don't have to sin anymore, we CHOOSE to sin. Every time we sin we are choosing that sin over Jesus. In essence, what we are saying is "I love this thing more than I love you, Jesus." Wow.
