My ex parties a lot. It's not appropriate. I want custody changed. What you say and what the court believes may not be the same thing. Why take the chance? You need to document everything. How do we document this? So many people have stuff on videos, and photographs on cellphones. They have TikToks and Snapchat. All these things have online post visuals. This will help the court determine whether something is going on which is really inappropriate behavior. Contact your lawyer and tell them what you suspect. He or she will tell you this is what we'll need. You have to understand one thing. There's no law against partying. There's no law against drinking alcohol. There's no law against getting drunk. It becomes an issue when certain things go along with that. For example, there's no law against getting drunk but you can't be drunk and drive. Similarly, with respect to custody if you just show that your ex-spouse's parties a lot. has a lot of people over. Has a good time. Maybe gets loud singing Karaoke. None of that is going to mean a thing. Unless you can link that to a problem with the safety of the child. If you show that somehow the party is going on in the presence of the child. If you're showing somebody just blowing off steam, it's not going to help you in your case where you want to modify or change custody.
