Thanksgiving can be a challenging holiday for divorced parents, as it is a single-day celebration with strong family traditions. Parents may have different traditions or travel plans, which can make it difficult to decide where the child should spend the holiday.
*Thanksgiving co-parenting challenge post-divorce: Thanksgiving is a single day. This means that there is no option to "make up" for lost time on another day of the holiday. *Thanksgiving arrangements during divorce proceedings: One option is to alternate years. Another option is to split the day with the children *The approach to Thanksgiving custody: The court will make a decision that they believe is in the best interests of the child, even if it means that one parent does not get to spend Thanksgiving with the child.
The ultimate goal is to ensure that the child has a happy and enjoyable Thanksgiving, regardless of where they spend the holiday.
