This week, Jennifer and Jeanne talk about Jennifer's new book "Marriage In The Bible". The conversation explores the phrase  "biblical" marriage," suggesting that the Bible portrays heterosexual arrangements that most twenty-first century people--conservative Christians included--would NOT want to imitate. Jennifer gets honest about what biblical passages do and don't say about men and women partnering, desentimentalizing "biblical marriage." Jeanne shares Margaret Atwood's poem "Habitation," which also de-sentimentalizes marriage.
