We’re a little late with this one but there has been school holidays, long weekends and camping trips to be had, so I apologise.

But it was time for something a little different, so I called in a favour from a former colleague.

Matthew Hardy, author, comedian, radio personality & podcast host, and I used to work together at Melbourne’s Nova 100.

He and Lawrence Mooney now host a podcast called Saturday afternoon fever, which is Matthew reading the book he wrote of the same title, and the Moon Man butting in with his own stories.

It’s a great premise for a podcast but I came to learn that Matt actually lived in Robinvale for a time during his mis-spent youth. His policeman Father sent him up here to live with his Policeman brother and pick grapes in about 1990, so there’s a loose local connection, but it was a good excuse for a bit of cross promotion to be honest.

This was recorded a few weeks back when we were possibly still in lockdown and the book was still available to buy, it has since sold out but you can listen to Matt and the Moon man’s podcast Saturday Afternoon Fever, wherever you’re listening to this.
