Although societal norms and values change, marriage remains important in stable and long-lasting marriages because it gives security, contributes to social unity, and serves as a foundation for individuals, families, and communities, making marriage an essential component of a harmonious society.

However, though it is critical to understand and value the range of perspectives on marriage, realising that personal tastes and beliefs influence the decisions people make in their partnerships, we must acknowledge that not everyone believes in marriage.

Considering our brothers and sisters in the LGBTQ+ community, granting marriage rights is an important step towards creating an inclusive society built on principles of equality and human rights. By embracing marriage for LGBTQ+ individuals, society not only affirms their relationships but also demonstrates a commitment to ensuring equality for all.
