S304: Is the Growth of Contingent Faculty a Scam?

Listen Later

Today, Sarah speaks with Dr. Adrianna Kezar, a professor of higher education at the University of Southern California and the co-director of the Pullias Center for Higher Education. Dr. Kezar discusses the differences between tenure track and contingent (or non-tenure stream) faculty and offers evidence to explain why non-tenure positions are growing. Together, Sarah and Dr. Kezar weigh the pros and cons associated with these positions and question whether the growth of contingent faculty is, in fact, a scam.
