On part 2 of the Oranga Tamariki episode, we take a look at the organisation post 2017. 2017 saw Jacinda Ardern and the Labour government take over New Zealand, leading to the name change to Oranga Tamiriki. Since then they’ve been a mainstay in the news for a number of reasons including their methods uplifting of children, turnstile of senior leadership and racial bias within the organisation. We also take a look at the Royal Commission into Abuse and Care, to get the history of Children in care, to contextualise where we are now
