Molly, a C-PTSD survivor and ketamine advocate, is an award-winning investigative journalist and is on a mission to educate the public about complex PTS (post-traumatic stress), which most often stems from childhood sexual assault. PTS(D) is not just a veterans’ problem and she’d like to do for sexual assault survivors what the veterans’ community has done for themselves in terms of rectifying public perception, changing public policy, and organizing a supportive community of survivors.
Molly shares her story of having been groomed as an underage girl for victimization (sexual assault) by movie producer James Toback, who’s been accused of sexual assault by over 300 women but hasn’t been convicted for any of his crimes. Selma Blair and Rachel McAdams are among Toback’s victims, but so far, Molly is the only minor to speak out about Toback and she hopes that more minors will come forward.
Molly is also writing her memoir, which is about Complex trauma (C-PTSD) from a survivor’s point of view and is based on her blog posts and experience as a journalist. Her book project proposal secured her a 2017 "Inspiring Recovery" Fellowship at the Writers Colony at Dairy Hollow.
Please contact her through one of her sites if you're a trauma survivor and need help, or if you'd like to help build a survivor-led movement creating C-PTSD respect, awareness, funding, and quality, affordable treatment.
