I first came to know about sex trafficking, the prostitution, and the illegal level of treatment that women were undergoing about 10 years ago. Not only were the stories available in the news, and in our movie theatres. We were also seeing women cry out about escaping kidnapping while at the grocery store. This was happening only a few years ago. And still happens today. I still find it very odd that the save the children hashtag received its biggest level of awareness because of an election and not the root cause.
