Seven years after it was canceled, Veronica Mars returned to the screen in 2014 - the Big Screen. Funded to tune of $5.7M by fans via one of the most-backed Kickstarter campaigns ever up until that point in time.

• Is Kickstarter still a viable platform to resurrect genre TV shows?

• Was there something extra special about Veronica Mars and the connection the show had with fans, that made this a truly unique situation? Still, I don’t know.
