In this episode, we will be talking to Karen Lee Hizola, the Executive Director for Global Seed Savers Philippines.
We will talk about food sovereignty, seed libraries, supporting local farmers, agri-entrepreneurship, the gaps and issues we need to talk about and how we can help and advocate for farmers who are not getting their equal share, and how larger players monopolize and control the lives of hardworking farmers.
We will also hear about permaculture and how it is part of the circular economy and how we should be more informed and educate ourselves on how does the system work and who are the ones being left behind. In this episode, we were reminded that without our local farmers we will also have no food on our tables. #NoFarmerNoFood
