CW: Rampant Transphobia

Sam and Maggie watched episode 5 of season 4 of Glee this week, The Role You Were Born to Play. Notably only in Ohio, the episode is summarily deemed BAD. Artie's directorial choices? Bad. Massive meta and in-universe transphobia? Bad. The clumsy parallels of Will/Finn/Ryder? Definitely bad. The best parts of this episode are Maggie's subtle thirsting after Jake and Kitty and Sam's deconstruction of what makes a man.
