About The Speaker
Ms Melamed was born into a well-known Jewish family where her father was a prominent lawyer and her mother worked as a music teacher.
Currently, Julia holds a diplomatic position as the Honorary Consul General of Haiti in Australia; Julia is the Honorary Secretary of GRULAC Victoria (Diplomatic alliance of Latin American and Caribbean Countries); and Honorary Consul’s Representative at Consular Corps. She is also an innovative entrepreneur and business leader and the Founder and Chairman of multiple successful companies.
Her varied portfolio includes interests and investments in wellness, medico and information technology fields. Julia’s fully registered charity Haiti Stole My Heart Foundation, focuses on re-education, health and environmental sectors in Haiti. Ms Melamed is noted for her strong business acumen, work ethic, unyielding courage and resilience, as well as her strong entrepreneurial ability.
Julia is well connected politically, diplomatically and commercially among some of the largest corporations in the South Pacific, American and Asian regions.
