Ava and Mark take shelter with Brielle. She tells them she has been staying in the woods with her mom to escape danger. She offers Ava and Mark a place to stay for the night, but they politely decline. Ava feels bad about leaving the girl alone, waiting for her mother, but they have to continue their trek. They are really close to California now.
