As influential post-punk records go (its importance has been cited by a diverse array of artists including R.E.M, Rage Against The Machine and Kurt Cobain), you’d be hard pressed to top Gang Of Four’s stunning 1979 debut “Entertainment!” In anticipation of Matador Records’ “Gang Of Four 77-81” boxset release, we were honored to have original GoF drummer – and occasional curmudgeon – Hugo Burnham on to provide insight into the creation of this monumental album.
