Today’s podcast was inspired by a podcast I watch and follow, “MG The Mortgage Guy” where he discussed the pros and cons of purchasing a home with your partner - please go check it out because it was a great episode.
So after watching that, I was inspired to share two things we should be doing while we are single and waiting for our person to come into our lives.
We need to heal our finances!
1. Know your life vision- often we create vision boards for the year but it should be a reflection of what you want to achieve for your overall life. You’ve heard me discuss knowing your values and using that as a way to identify if someone is someone you want to date or potentially marry. Well, your life vision is in alignment with that as well because we want to have a clear picture of the things we want to achieve in our lives. - Do you want to own a home? - Are you wanting to be an entrepreneur? - If so, does becoming a landlord play a part in your life goals? This is important because when you do meet that person, you want to be able to make sure you both align with one another in that long term life vision.
2. Start saving. Do you know there are some people that do not have $1000 in their savings? So when you are in the single season, work on your finances is a great thing to do. Yes. Many of us maybe living paycheck to paycheck, but we can start with small goals and build from there. Check out my video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AESSl...) if you need ideas for side hustles that can help you to make extra money to help you save some money Do not be that person that has been single for over 5 years and do not have $100 in their savings account.
