Jesus asks the Father to keep His disciples in a world that could easily corrupt, divide, and discourage them. Jesus does not ask that we be taken out of the world, but that we be guarded in it, sanctified by truth, and protected from the evil one. This episode is a reminder that we are not left to stay faithful on our own—the Great “I AM” is committed to keeping His people to the finish line.
