Summary: The book of Hosea has long been one of my favorite stories. The first three chapters especially--though dark and haunting--contain the most beautiful story of love ever. It is not the story of Hosea loving Gomer despite her prostitution. Rather, it is God loving me despite mine. It is the timeless story of the persons and people of God believing themselves to be faithful to YHWH even as we chase false lovers and the unremitting steadfast commitment of YHWH to the bride.
