Pat Notaro III directed the 2023 documentary Spellers, which challenges the idea that nonspeakers with autism are cognitively disabled. The documentary is inspired by the book Underestimated, an Autism Miracle. Also, forthcoming docuseries: Underestimated, the Heroic rise of Nonspeaking Spellers.
