Summary:

It is difficult to describe the relationship we are given in Christ. It is difficult to understand His grace, mercy, and forgiveness. John provides for us an understanding of who God is. He is light. In doing so, he describes an amazing relationship we share in as those who are called out of darkness. In our lives, we are to strive daily to walk in the light. To walk according to His truth, purity, and holiness. As we do so, we cannot forget that it is through His grace that we stand and because of His sacrifice that we are made partakers of the light.
