Since Curdy is missing, the Benefactor returns to keep the show going for Episode 1 of Season 6: Little Green Eggs and Men. As a tribute to the 1938 War of the Worlds broadcast by Orson Welles and Mercury Theater on the Air that terrorized listeners who thought the invasion was real, Cruddy has rewritten the story into a simpler form which is narrated by struggling actor Clench Carbone whose on stage specialty is impersonating Sly Stallone.
