In today's episode I have a look at the Supreme Court Ruling regarding the proroguing of Parliament and the fact that a unanimous verdict was carried on all counts against Boris Johnson. I particularly examine where that places the DUP who have been willing bedfellows with the conservative administration, due to their 'confidence and supply' arrangement with the Tories in government. They have in essence gone from 'kingmakers' to being reduced to an afterthought and have spent the last month and particularly the last fortnight trying to reinvent their stance on Brexit while maintaining an alignment with their grassroots voter base!
I also begin to look at how the Border while being seen as a nuisance in the guise of the so-called 'backstop', as far as the mainland voter is concerned, is a real problem and live issue, if you happen to live in Northern Ireland and also in The Republic of Ireland.
Brexit, while reaching a stage of overkill because it just won't go away as an issue, keeps enthralling, shocking and frightening everyone
As I have said before this podcast is starting to move more towards documentation as opposed to predetermined content and I'm happy to go with the flow while also adding in some planned content, I hope you the listener enjoy the format and would welcome your comments. You can do this by using the Podcast Audio Comments facility or by linking with me on either Twitter, I am also available on Facebook or you can email me on [email protected].
