The urban dictionary's definition of Self made: when someone who acquires their wealth/success on their own and do not inherit or win it. It takes time and persistence to become successful and if you've put in the work then that's declared self made. In this episode, I had the pleasure of talking to my girl Yashica, who is a fellow Podcaster (and black woman!) for the first episode of Black History Month—talk about God's timing! One thing about my girl Yashica, she is going to speak her mind and speak it confidently! I know it’s going to be a good episode when I know the edits will be minimal because the conversation is so natural. Yashica and I talk about the complexities of being self-made, the beauty of it, and what it can look like. One thing for sure, and two things for certain: betting on yourself will always be a sure thing, do it.
