Kumusta, mga kaibigan! In this special episode of JOSh Friends, we journey through the Ang Bagong Daan ng Krus—a path not just of suffering, but of deep love and service.
Joining us today is Ms. Bitchik Dimalanta, a retired Ignatian educator with over 35 years of experience in Ateneo schools across the country. Though retired, her mission continues—whether through teaching, singing with the Ateneo Chamber Singers, or simply being present for her family and community.
Today, she shares her reflection on Ang Bagong Daan ng Krus by Fr. Roselier Atilano, SJ and Fr. Benjamin Espiritu III, SJ. In her decades of mentoring young minds, she has witnessed how perspectives on faith and tradition evolve. This booklet, she says, is a bridge—bringing the timeless Way of the Cross into the hearts of today’s youth.
Just like the characters along Jesus’ journey—Simon of Cyrene, Veronica, and even those who stood in silence—we, too, are called to walk with one another. As we reflect on Christ’s sacrifice, may we also recognize His presence in our struggles and find renewed hope in the promise of Easter.

JOSh Friends continues to celebrate women’s voices this March, so stay tuned for more inspiring reflections!
