Since South Africa took over chairmanship of the African Union, there has been calls from different quarters for Pretoria to change and enforce issues like human rights, political reforms and economic advancement. One of the institutions that held discussions on South Africa’s chairmanship is the Human Sciences Research Council. They held a session on strategies to ensure South Africa's chairmanship is successful.
