What is the worst form of Shirk (Polytheism) according to God? Sayyidi Younus AlGohar explains in light of the Koran.
Summary:
God says in the Koran 25:43, 'O' Messenger of God, have you not seen those who have made the desires of the Lower Self as their Creator?'
- The greatest form of Shirk is arrogance; it is to practically worship your own Lower Self.
'One who manages to purify the Lower Self is successful.' (Koran 87:14)
- Until the Lower Self is purified, God will pay you no heed. The enlightenment of the Spiritual Heart and the purgation of the Lower Self hold the same status in the application of God's love as a letter from your employer and bank statements do when you apply for a visa. If you do not have these things when you send in your visa application, it will always be rejected even if you apply 1000 times.
- Similarly, if you pray to God and ask for his love without purification of the Lower Self and enlightenment of the Spiritual Heart, God will become upset with you. God will say, 'What a foolish man! First, become capable of seeking my love.' To be able to request God for his love, first, you have to fulfil the aforementioned prerequisites. If you do not have these things in your possession, do not ask for the love of God. Those who claimed to love God without fulfilling these conditions either became Sunni, Shiite or Wahhabi.
