During his time at OSU he was president of Buckeyethon, and after graduation he started a nonprofit that he ran for two years before switching to a marketing role at a startup company. He then decided to quite his job, took his car around the US, and asked 1,000 strangers for life advice. Throughout this journey he photographed each person with a 50-year-old, black-and-white camera and documented these lessons in his book Advice From America.
