Sacred Sites, Sacred Places is a theme we wish to revisit regularly here in Sacred Realms. This panel explores the concept of 'sacred' and what it means to people in differing cultures. We will spotlight the Tigray region of Northern Ethiopia and its ancient religious sites, some of which are among the most important in the civilized world—many already destroyed and under threat today from the Eritrean and Ethiopian regimes hell bent on erasure and genocide. They just bombed the martyr’s museum in Mekelle during a supposed cease fire, just last week. Abi, Yerushalayim and Professor Gebz will introduce us to Ethiopian and Tegaru history, the ongoing genocide and war, as well as how we can help the state of Tigray and the Tegaru peoples.
