The ascension of Christ places him on the throne of glory, where he has all authority in heaven and earth and over the church which is his Body. The power of his resurrection and ascension is a great source of hope for the believer because this is the same inheritance that awaits us! We will one day join him in this glory, living eternally in his Kingdom! Amen! This truth can carry us through any situation because we know that this same power and glory already exists within us today!
Of further note, the passage highlights the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, but it does not present them as separate "gods." Rather, it points to their interconnected roles and shared glory. While not explicitly stating the doctrine of the Trinity, the passage demonstrates the Father's love and power, the Son's headship, and the Holy Spirit's working through believers. When Jesus ascended into heaven He assumed both his first position from before the Creation, AND his final position in the Glory of the Kingdom. He is eternally in a shared relationship with the Father and the Spirit.
