Sacrifice of Praise (pt. 1) - Ep. 02

Listen Later

What does it actually mean to be a sacrifice of praise?

In this episode, I share part of my journey—from leading worship on a platform to the secret place where no one is watching—and what it looks like when praise costs something.

Whether it’s pushing past the fear of being seen, laying down comfort in private worship, or choosing to praise in the middle of pain, I’ve learned that worship is more than a song—it’s an offering.

I also open up about a deeply personal season where my family was hit with a major storm, and the only thing I knew to do was worship through it.

In this episode, I break down three ways God has been defining a sacrifice of praise in my life and how it has challenged the way I see worship:

  • The sacrifice of physical comfort – When worship demands something from your body, not just your voice.
  • The sacrifice of dignity – When leading means exposing your personal relationship with God in front of others.
  • The sacrifice of praise when it hurts – How God prepared me in ways I didn’t expect so that when my mom was diagnosed with a brain tumor, my response wasn’t fear—it was worship.

A sacrifice of praise isn’t just about singing when we don’t feel like it. It’s about alignment—posturing our bodies, hearts, and minds to praise God even when it costs us something.
