Sacrificio Set in Cuba in 1998 is a triumphant work of Ernesto Mestre-Reed, follows a group of HIV-positive counterrevolutionaries who seek to overthrow Castro government. In 1998 Rafa an Afro-Cuban orphan moves to Havana nothing but his name and finds work in a café’. Here he meets the charismatic Renato, son of the café’ owner and this leads to meeting the “Los Injected Ones”, which is planning to overthrow the Castro government during the Pope’s visit. When Renato goes missing more intrigue follows.
